Super fog in the valley. It ate up all the cars around us. We got back in the city around 4.30 yesterday afternoon - I didn't unpack everything yet though - yay for tomorrow night! On the way we saw an amber alert sign with the text "CHP Pace, Do not pass". It was really weird, but then Marie and I saw what was up - there was a SUPER thick fog in the valley that cut off visibility about 2 cars ahead of us. The CHP was pacing people so they didn't crash into each other. Then, we saw a big semi-truck with SPIKED RIMS! If that wasn't enough, the name on the door read "DragonWolf". Epic.

Instead of birthday cake for my mom's super early birthday party, we got ice cream turkeys. Kinda awesome. They were super cute and really tasty (being ice cream and cookie and frosting). This afternoon my dad, Teenie, Joe, and I went to the new local black light miniature golf course in SCV. It was quite a bit nicer than the Putting Edge, but amazingly STILL had the problem of bad parents not watching their kids playing on the hole directly behind us. The drive back to Azusa was nice, little traffic, and Joe was left with a boat-load of left-overs and books to finish up the semester with (and the $2 he found in the parking lot...lucky).

Thanks Joe for being the photographer that helped make our portraits funner. We had a blast at our portrait session this afternoon. The photographer was crazy fun and i think the pictures will be great. My mom scheduled these and we almost called it off - but what an interesting experience. I really hope the pictures look as good as the ones Joe snapped for us - it was fun to dress up. Not seen on the blog: my photoshoot lying on my dad's corvette :p

Playing with our food at ihop. So Eman, Joe, and I got up at like, 2:30am today to go sit in front of Staples (in 30 degree weather or so it seemed). Low and behold, we ended up not getting anything - the item Eman wanted was actually an online only item and I decided against anything on sale (I couldv'e had my pick of the lot if I wanted). At any rate, Eman's first experience at iHop was totally worth it - especially when Ms. Pac Man appeared out of our food - we should have sold it on ebay.

A giant bird next to an odd bird. What a flighty holiday. Just kidding, my sister is hilarious. I forewent the traditional holiday spread photo in favor of this, a true representation of what fun it is to be with family. The food was SOOOOO GOOD! I almost broke my rule of 1 picture per day to show the awesome dinner spread, but this is sufficient. That turkey was ENORMOUS! 23 pounds! I had a wing, and sweet potatoes (with marshmallows), peas, turnips, cranberry sauce, gravy, fresh baked bread... I'm so full right now I could burst!

Twinkie doesn't like cameras apparently. It took 15 photos to get a decent one. I jinxed it! It took 8 HOURS to get home tonight. I'm super tired and it's really nice to be back home and see my parents and Teenie. Tomorrow morning bright and early I'm heading out to pick up Joe from Azusa so he can spend the holiday with us. It should be a good time with lots of tasty food. I'm already digging into the pumpkin bread :)

Got some brownies for dessert- sweet. The test wasn't too horrible - and it's nice to be spending time with Bunny before the weekend - I'm going to miss her. We picked up these brownies to snack on tonight and got some microwave-burritos for dinner (guilty pleasure). Should be a nice relaxing evening, have to pack a little bit for tomorrow though. And mentally prepare for the 8 hour journey.

Sorry for the blurry picture, blame the waitress at the restaurant. Had a pizza party hosted by Tristan and his family for our class. It was a pretty good time - basically all the people I know on campus since they're all in my math classes. Too bad tomorrow I have a combinatorics test (ugh!). Not really looking forward to it at all. But I did really well on the last one so maybe it won't be so bad. Also, tomorrow is the last day of school before Thanksgiving holiday, AWESOME!

Got these on friday as mentioned. They've pretty much been on my feet all weekend nonstop. They're sheepskin and I honestly can't stop wearing them. I don't normally wear slippers or anything like that and I'm really impressed by these. They're super soft and even though my feet were kind of overheating in them the first day I wore them, I got used to it and now they just keep my feet comfortable. I plan on wearing them in the car when Marie and I head down to SCV for Thanksgiving. Today was a study day - All french for my test on Monday.

This is a bottle of Black Lemonade soda. I have no idea what it'll taste like but it looked so ridiculous I had to buy it. For the past few years, I've been buying the Jones Soda Holiday Packs and trying them with my friends. These are HORRIBLE tasting. Last year was something like; Turkey dinner, Buttered Roll, Brussels Sprouts (or peas), Antacid, and Sweet Potato. Seriously. And they taste SO MUCH WORSE than anything you could ever imagine with that flavor. And they're sodas. Well, this year I got potentially better tasting sodas: Black Lemonade, Blood Red Cola, Bawls "G33k B33r" Root Beer, and a bottle of Birch Beer. Now I just need to hold off drinking them for a few more days :)

Tonight Bunny and I had a nice date at the french restaurant Plouf downtown. Super Yummy! Then shoe pavillon was having a going out of business sale and i got a pair of ugg style slippers! Super Comfy! Seriously, these things are great - super soft inside and I'll be happy to wear them around the house (just never outside).

Won this case from www.gadgetmix.com a couple weeks ago. It got here today and i'm super happy. :) It fits my Wind really well and looks amazing. The best part is the leather-wrapped palm rest to protect the plastic from those nasty stains that appear over time. I'll get used to typing on it (because now the palm rest is a little thicker than the keyboard) but so far I'm really enjoying it.

I don't buy much (or anything) but they sure are fun :) What's a woot-off? www.woot.com is a website that sells one item every day for a discounted price. During a woot-off, they sell a continuous stream of items of all sorts refreshing with a new item whenever a current item sells out. It's fun to see all the wacky and random stuff they sell (like Bacon-Salt, honestly). Today I didn't do much of anything, I watched some Star Trek: The Next Generation and some Top Chef; I really like that show, although it usually takes about half the season before I like any of the contestants (cheftestants according to them).

Got my ethics paper back tonight, B+/A-, which isn't bad I'd have preferred a solid A. Swedlow liked my String Theory argument though, which is pretty cool I guess. Bunny and I presented our topics tonight (Pacifism & Humanitarian Intervention). The class had a really great discussion and I think we did well on the project. Tonight I had a huuuuuuuuge hankering for a cheeseburger, so I got some patties and made one up for myself; SUPER YUMMY!

I was grabbing an Iced Peppermint Twist Mocha (Iced, not blended) from Starbucks and saw this cute picture on the wall...I really like it, even though I'm not entirely sure what it's representing. The little face is cute and the peace sign is a nice touch. Then I worked on the Pacifism article Bunny and I have to present tomorrow for ethics.

Grading papers is really time consuming. Too bad it's a job :p I really don't like grading this stuff, but it's a little bit interesting as the topics are broader than my regular math courses. Today I got a haircut for our family portrait next week - should be an interesting experience (I don't even remember that last time we did something like that, if we ever did. It's not super short, but it's a good length and looks neat and clean. Another quiet day, I did some math homework with Naod and Georgina on campus - it wasn't a very productive session.

These are the fires in so.cal. seen from the back yard. Very quiet Saturday, nothing big really - lots of staying in and hanging out. Bunny and I spent some time in the park working on our ethics project: Pacifism and Humanitarian Intervention. Interesting topic with a really deep core. Teenie sent me this picture (Super Guest Photographer!) of the fires down in Southern California. This is from my backyard - which is crazy close apparently. Best wishes for all those affected by the Sylmar fire. Tomorrow is haircut day!

Tonight Marie had a yacht party to go to celebrate several people's birthdays. She looked super nice in her new dress. Bunny and I stayed in and watched Field of Dreams on hd-dvd... I still love that player even though it's hard to get new movies for it. It's alright though, one day I'll get my PS3 and then I'll have a blu-ray player and access to all the movies that come out on high def :) Not sure what the plans for the weekend are, but I need a haircut.

Playing Tetris Party last night, I did the single player time trial and cleared the 150 lines on the first try :) It was pretty sweet, I did a lot of Tetrises (Tetri?) back-to-back. I didn't have to do anything today, which was awesomely wonderful. Tonight for dinner I ordered one of those new Domino's Pizza Oven-Baked Sandwiches - which, I must say, tasted pretty good (basically a pizza in sandwich form) but looked pretty darn awful. These are not made on sandwich bread, but rather what looks to be pizza dough. So when they deliver it the thing looks kind of like an unpressed panini. Anyway, it was pretty good overall. Woohoo, classes tomorrow (/sarcasm)

So this is the tablet that we found in Desktop Engineering - I had to rig it up like this to get windows installed - and after about 2 hours of fiddling, I finally got the digitizer to work so now it has it's touch-screen capabilities working too! Today was overwhelmingly quiet, and I'm thankful for that, I'm really enjoying my week of relaxation so far, and even more so that tomorrow I don't have to go to class at all - but I still get to go to work and play with the tablet some more - which I think I may try to install vista on just because of vista's enhanced tablet capabilities... we'll see. Also, just as a side note - I'm sorry that I didn't update the blog text for a week - but as you can see, I've been super busy... That's all finished now, and things should stay current more now.

There are at least 500 microsoft licensing cds here, i have to catalog them all. This is going to be a long job. Basically I am tasked with organizing Desktop Engineering's Microsoft licensing catalog - really not excited to do this. On the other hand, we found a really sweet looking tablet pc that I get to fiddle around with tomorrow, which should be awesome compared to this. And I have no classes on Thursday! how cool is this week? I turned my paper in, I feel pretty good about it.

The test not the chihuahua. 104% Oh. My. God. Can you belive it? I have never gotten this high of a score on a MATH test, let alone one of Tristan's tests - this is insanely cool and I'm super pumped because now I'm officially doing well in All of my classes :) I got a large chunk of my paper done tonight, only a little bit more to finish up and that's done too :) This week is starting out AMAZING!

Because i have nothing else to post, i got this after gaming mountasia for hundreds of tickets with eman for his birthday. It has a jesus sticker for 5 extra horsepower. Not much else to say - I worked on the paper for a little bit, but mostly spend the day relaxing and pretending that I don't have a paper due on Tuesday. I was kind of mean to my dad this afternoon, I feel bad about it - I tried apologizing, I hope he and Teenie get home safely. Tomorrow is Monday, which could mean I get my math test back...shudder.

I have an ethics paper due on Tuesday! I tried working on it while Teenie and my dad went up to USF for her interviews and stuff, but I pretty much found myself trying to do anything but work on the paper :p This afternoon my dad took us down to Macy's so Marie could get a dress for a fancy party next week, and I needed some slacks :). I got a couple pairs of Kenneth Cole dress-y pants which are awesome and fit like a dream - Marie didn't find a dress :(. As we were waiting for Marie, I caught up with my dad and Teenie at the Starbucks IN MACY's (I didn't know they did that). Anyway, I ordered a blended Peppermint Mocha (bad idea!) I was behind a guy who worked at Macy's buying for pretty much the whole store - I waited over 20 minutes for that COLD coffee drink...and when I finally got it (My favorite flavor) it wasn't even blended properly! It was all chunky iced :( I guess from now on I'll just get it over ice or hot, never ask for something blended. Tonight we had dinner at Kitaro and, as usual, it was awesome.

What a night! I ended up sleeping on the couch (dad snores), but my test wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be, and I'll see how it really went next week (not necessarily looking forward to it). Tonight we went to a little french/italian place (The Magic Flute I think?) I had a nice big bowl of mussels, SUPER YUMMY. Also had a frisee salad, which is a little herb-ish salad with pancetta and a fried egg on top, it was pretty awesome. My dad got pretty sleepy on the couch, and this is the candid photo I took of him :)

God help us all. Here we are studying for our History of Math exam. I'm quite terrified, but we've been at it for hours - I spent most of the day studying (I didn't even go to work today). My dad and sister got here this afternoon - Teenie's visiting USF to make sure she wants to go here for college - It's a pretty exciting weekend for her. At any rate- I'm not looking forward to tomorrow :(

Basically these made my throat super happy when i was coughing. Yay for tasty vitamin candy. I have a cold and I grabbed these Halls drops at Lucky. They're super yummy and while they're not cough drops, they have Zinc which I read is good for when you're sick, and they have 100% vitamin C too :) I've been drinking Odwalla's with 1000% Vit. C though anyway. Hopefully I'll get over this cold fast, because I have a huge History of Math Test on Friday, ick.

So today was the first US Presidential Election that I've ever been able to vote in. What an experience! Alright, honestly it wasn't that spectacular, I already knew what I was voting for and whatnot, but to be part of history and elect Barack Obama the next president of the USA was pretty awesome. Bunny and I spent most of the evening watching the news trickle in, and Obama's speech was pretty awesome...although I was a bit confused by the super bulletproof glass shields in between him and the people at his rally - I'm all for safety, but this was his first speech as president-elect, were they really that worried? Whatever, it was still a great night to be in America.

Today was kind of miserable - My throat hurts, my nose is running, and I've got a cough - but thankfully I've got no fever or headache - that would be awful. But my French test went really well (I think) so hopefully that'll be looking up later this week. Today I just rested a lot and drank a lot of tea. I'm feeling a bit better now, at least I'm not feeling worse. Tomorrow is the election...EVERYONE VOTE! I saw these on shirt.woot.com and thought it was amazingly hilarious. I had to buy one. and one for Bunny too. Guess which one. Hint: not the red one. Second Hint: It has a heart on it.

Sorry for not updating all the posts. I'm sick :( Today was alright, mixed with some miserable. Marie was sweet today - she took me to the sushi-boat restaurant for lunch :) Yummy sushis! Before that we were laughing over the sheer ridiculousness of me having to do my French listening exercises (bleh). After lunch I did my history of math homework which was surprisingly easy this week. Tomorrow is my french test, wish me luck.

Today was a serious homework day - and what a rainy day :( It was raining ALL day long and I was muscling through my French homework as I studied for my Exam coming up on Monday. There really wasn't a whole lot else going on - I took the movies back and cleared up the VHS problems - then it was back to homework. Tomorrow is more of the same, with grading and history of math thrown in for some change-ups :) Rain Rain Go Away, Don't come back for a few more days (please)
